Welcome to Bellevue

Upscale city with lots of shops, restaurants, and businesses.

Bellevue is a thriving King County city nestled between Lake Washington and Lake Sammamish to Seattle’s east. Bellevue is an economic hub with headquarters and offices of many software companies, video game developers, and other hi-tech firms. Bellevue’s real estate includes some of the Eastside’s grandest properties, such as secluded estates and spectacular custom-builds in a wide range of styles hidden behind mature trees. Other housing options include contemporary single-family homes and apartments.

Bellevue has several large shopping malls and commercial districts. Located in the heart of Downtown Bellevue is Bellevue Square, a modern retail complex with more than 200 businesses. Tenants include a Nordstrom department store and fashion retailers such as Anthropologie, Uniqlo, and Zara. Bellevue Square is connected via a sky bridge to Lincoln Square. Here, you’ll find upscale dining choices, such as steak and seafood spot McCormick & Schmick’s, family-friendly Maggiano’s Little Italy, and Earls Kitchen + Bar for cocktails and artisanal burgers. Lincoln Square’s 16-screen Cinemark Reserve movie theater offers luxurious in-theater drinks and dining. This state-of-the-art theater attracts more than a million moviegoers a year and frequently ranks among the top ten cinemas in the United States for opening weekend box office. Across the street from Lincoln Square is Bellevue Place, which features high-end home design stores and several art galleries. Bellevue Arts Museum is a standout, showcasing various exhibits and hosting the annual Bellevue Arts Fair in July. More retail and dining options can be found at Market Place @ Factoria to Bellevue’s south and Overlake Fashion Plaza to the north.

More than 2,500 acres of public parks and green spaces are located within Bellevue’s borders. Trails run through the beautiful natural scenery of Mercer Slough Nature Park, which also has a boat ramp for access into Lake Washington. More trails wind through the forests and wetlands of Kelsey Creek Farm. Close to Downtown is Crossroads Park, a popular greens pace with a par-3 golf course, a skate bowl, jogging paths, and children’s play areas. Bellevue Botanical Garden features a variety of gorgeously-landscaped habitats that light up during the holiday season for the Garden d’Lights festival. Glendale Country Club is one of the Northwest’s premier country clubs. Members enjoy access to an 18-hole golf course that is considered one of the best in the region as well as first-class clubhouse amenities.

Bellevue operates its own Bellevue School District. Top-performing schools include Cherry Crest and Somerset Elementary schools, Tyee Middle School, and International School for grades 6 through 12.
